Help — Using Grantha.io

Grantha.io is a digital library of the complete works of Śrīmadānandatīrtha Bhagavatpādācārya (Madhvācārya) — bhāṣyas, prakaraṇas, and ṭīkās — presented in a clean, readable format with support for multiple Indian scripts.

Reading the Texts

Script Switcher

Every page has a script selector in the toolbar at the top. You can read all texts in:

  • Devanāgarī — the default Sanskrit script
  • English — IAST romanisation with diacritics
  • Kannada · Tamil · Telugu — South Indian scripts

Your script choice is saved automatically and applies across all pages and browser tabs.

Font Size

Use the A− and A+ buttons in the toolbar to adjust the reading size. This preference is also saved.

Table of Contents

The sidebar on the left shows the full structure of each text:

  • Adhyāyas (chapters) and Pādas (sections) at the top level
  • Adhikaraṇas (topic groups) nested underneath
  • Click any entry to jump directly to that section
  • The active section is highlighted as you scroll

Mūlam and Ullekha

Two navigation buttons appear at the top of the table of contents for bhāṣya texts:

Mūlam (मूलम्)
Shows only the source verses — sūtras or ślokas — without commentary prose. Useful for recitation or quick reference.
Ullekha (उल्लेख)
An index of all scriptural passages cited in the bhāṣya, grouped by source (Skanda Purāṇa, Mahābhārata, etc.). Clicking any citation jumps to that exact passage in the main text and highlights it.

Page Buttons

Three buttons are fixed at the bottom-right of every page:
